Outcast Manifesto Document in Post-Human | World Anvil

Outcast Manifesto

October 2093: the Internet was flooded with the video image of hooded head, face obscured by shadowy darkness. Every news, entertainment, and educational feed—whether print, video, audio, or MyndKast™—was simultaneously hijacked. The figure identified himself as Morpheus, and speaking in a deep baritone for an hour, delivered what came to be called the Outcast Manifesto, a declaration of rights, an accusation full of grievances, and an ultimatum for recognition and equality.

Purpose

A declaration of rights, an accusation full of grievances, and an ultimatum for recognition and equality for all those aberrant humans known as Vampires, Zombies, and Mutants.

Document Structure

Publication Status

Varies. Certain unknown agents (presumably, but not exclusively, MyndMagick™) attempt to take down and/or eradicate the document, but mirror sites always seem to restore public access within minutes at most.

Historical Details

History

Considered one of the most important documents of the late 21st Century, this controversial document became a founding charter to what would be called the Outcasts (Vampires, Mutants, and Zombies).

Public Reaction

For the first time, the three aberrant subspecies saw themselves on equal footing. The vast majority joined the Outcast movement. But the Augments, New Men, MyndMagick™, and original Human reactions ranged from insulted to threatened and frightened to dismissive annoyance. A few, however, were sympathetic and worked with the Outcasts for their rights. Singularity, of course, indicated no response whatsoever.
