Magmabeard Lutae

Seperated from the Dawn Rail Line by nearly thirty miles the forge hold is one of few remaining holds outside the Thousand Spires of Bunulbilg - Fotgral Kegbrand. The nearest stop on the Dawn Rail Line will deposit passengers near a lift that brings them to an unnamed town that survives off coming travelers to and from the isolated hold. The towns frozen dozen buildings must be left behind as an traveler would begin a journey across the lower dawn mountains.
Distant views of the Hazfen desert come into sight occasionally. The scorched dunes a distant memory to those freezing in high winds and altitude on their path. The road turns to a narrow path that ends at a long stone bridge that crosses the Ravenous Chasm. Many stray gusts have sent travelers sliding and screaming into a free fall off the bridge too far below. The bridge is said to be cursed to kill those without dwarvish blood in their veins. Others say those who are ill intent against the Lutae clans isolation are sent to die alone at the bottom of the chasm.
The last leg of the journey will take one through a the huge Lutae valley gates. There the wind is blocked by high mountains and stone walls. On the other side of a short tunnel, green rolling plains reveal themselves. A few miles walk across the large valley will bring one into snow and ice once more.
This time though the Forge Hold entrance dominates the view with icy carved towers and tall stone spread wide across the short mountain top it's built into.
Below the valley and mountains lays the Forge Hold proper. Most of the forge holds too ancient dwarven customs of layout and scale. The exception being the forge itself. The forge is devoid of the molten channels and angular brutal archeticture most dwarves assign to all things. Instead a large natural cavern glows blue under a large blue globe. There a large circular smooth multi level structure is built around the sphere. Getting close to said forge is an honor only Lutae dwarves know.
The forge turns out some of the toughest metals known to the dwarvish empire. Very few of the legendary pieces of armor make it outside the Lutae halls. Those that do are dawned by nobles around the world. Most dawn empire clans shun the equipment for it is crafted by extra stubborn isolationist that shun the dawn way of life.

Lutae Throne Room

Sitting high in the Lutae Cavern, the throne room is a open sided platform supported by a huge statue on one knee. Behind the forge a semi transparent glass mural depicts the creation of the Lutae forge in detail but ends in a black sheet of glass with Magmabeard standing in front of it in awe.
The platform is two hundred feet on a side and has large ten by ten foot pillars carved into sharp ridges attaching it to the cieling. Long tables take up the back half of the platform, the front half is empty except for the throne and seven seats.
The throne is a large pulsating marbeled mass of black stone that gives the apperance of containing blue magma. Except for the fifteen short stairs to the ten foot heigh throne and the seat itself, the rest of the throne appears to be natural hardend magma. The Seat is a simple low backed wide hard edged seet of black smooth stone.
The seven seats in front of the throne are high backed and facing the throne with small tables by them large enough for a flagon. Three seats sit on the left, and four seats sit on the right of the main pathway up to the throne that cuts from the back entrance of the platform all the way to the throne.

Entries

A main large stairway leads up to a fifty foot tall doorway with large iron doors that are usually thrown open. The door depict the magmabeard au lutae line of dwarves visages.
Two other entrances sit attached at the center left and right side of the platform by long stone pathways supported by pillars that reach hundreds of feet to the cavern floor.
A final last entrance sits to the right of the throne and is sealed by large adamantite doors that a tall dwarf could duck into. The doors are blank except for a complex ruin that is split in half where the doors meet.

Sensory & Appearance

The platform is covered in a moving ashe and a scent of smoke and fire. Heat rolls over the platform carried by the wind that passes from the throne towards the main entrance.

Forgemaster: Broil Lutae, wears no top and has a shorts. His entire body bulges with muscles that strain his skin taunt. He has no hair or beard. He appears somewhat young even with the hairless effect. He is one of the only progressive Lutae clan members.
Clan Head Advisor: Hardtack Lutae, an aging dwarf with a gnarled body and wooden cain.
When a meeting is in session on the platform twenty five Lutae honor guards are present as well as twelve intermideita artificers from the guilds and clan.
When clan feasts are in session over two hundred dwarves inlcuding the above are present with the rest of the clan on the lower platform feasting.

Defenses

The Lutae Valley takes up a very rough one million square feet, it is shaped similar to a pentagon. The valley is mostly flat except for the far north end which gains elavation at a steep angle until it flatten midway up the mountains and lets into the Forge Hold entrance as seen in the image caroseol. Most of the valley is farm land that is magically improved and farmed by artificers. This allows it to output nearly double non magical peasent farmers crop yield.
One of the most notable features and defenses of the hold is the large glacier that is formed around the holds entrance. During what is refered too as A Season by the Lutae dwarves. During this season the weather turns bitter cold and kills most of their remaining crops. The glacier around the hold entrance also freezes over all doors and most of the valleys edges and creeps towards the center. For up to six months of especially cold years the glacier cuts the hold off with nearly three hundred feet of ice from the open air. The mountain peak remains the only opening.
The peaks blue beam of light goes all the way to the main forge hold. Though the intense heat column buffets anything that would fall down it, and the heat destroys even the hardiest of armors. A fire elemental that one adventuring partied summoned to go down the hole and spy on the secret forge noted the heat of the peaks vent.
