One Shot, A Vortex of Fate

Korva's vortex recently experienced another Arcane Fracas. This one it was noted by the Vortex Observatory  recently. They have put out a bounty of 10,000gp for whoever can retrieve and return the unnamed item that was recently spotted flying towards a tiny archipelago to the west of the Vortex. This has brought several adventurers of note to the region.

Plot points/Scenes

Getting to the island. Ships move towards the island as well as some more unique methods of travel.    The Island. The tiny landmass is covered in a ruined building as well as flung debris from the storm that' still lightly rages.   Back to the sea. One mile to the observatory.   The Observatory. It is shrouded in a massive barrier you see leaves landing on and sliding across. Even the rain slicks down its sides. A doorway wide enough for one medium humanoid to fit through is sliced cleanly through the pinkish shield. A shrouded figure stands on the other side of the doorway.

Structure

Exposition

The vortex is the mark of one who tried to destroy god's hold on the world. Now storms and sea rage in a constant rage. The gods of The Temple leaving it scarred. What is known is thousands of adventurers died here. And all their loot was scattered across the vortex's crater-like mass. Huge storms brew up from magical tears in the air and hurl the world about more. Sometimes picking up some of this loot and hurling it far out of the vortex where a small observatory notes its trajectory. Adventuers brave, powerful, and looking to get a step up will follow this observatory news. Descending like wasps to squabble over whatever it may be.

Conflict

All want the item and bounty.

Rising Action

Many arrive at once for the same goal. Who will ally, and who will clash.

Climax

The item is attained, now who will use it, and who will sell it in the end.

Falling Action

Handing off the item, or all perishing will bring the reward to a close.
