Ritual of the Greatwyrm 2

Dear scholars, I have made a second significant discovery about our natural gods, the dragons. Greatwyrms as we know walk our world, more powerful and longer-lived than their small brethren. The ancient dragons grovel at the sight of a Greatwyrm. How do these gods come about? This I delved to learn. I was able to through great effort organize a meeting with a Metallic greatwyrm of copper origin. He is know to hoard knowledge but keep great secret about himself so I will only mention those details. I offered to enlighten the dragon on his own creation as noted in my first novel. In exchange he enlightened me to his ascenion from ancient to greatwyrm. He explain that as he grew in age over nearly a millinia he gained a new sense. His brethren informed him it was called Dragonsight. A special kind of sight that allows one to see multiple overlapping realties at once. At first as the brain adjusts it seems to be almost hallicintory and many aging dragons thought themselves going mad. But as time progressed the brain adjusted and the dragon can sift their world from others. Many would see themselves in similar lairs and with similar followers. Some even note they saw themself as a different type of dragon. Near his eleven hundredth year the Greatwyrm explained he began to converse with these echos of himself. Then over the next hundred years, the dragon had a council of himself to talk to. Little did he know this was the first step in the Ritual of the Greatwyrm. One of his distant echos confessed to collecting wyrm eggs of his kind and raising them as his children. When all the echos were brought to the overlapping location with these eggs they said it was almost as if their Dragonsight was unneeded to see the other world. The second step was complete. Through careful prodding and research a complex magical ritual was setup over multiple worlds. The greatwyrm says many of his scholarly followers aided in the process. Using the eggs as conduits for Zeal more magic was brought into the dragons control. and realities were blended. A special spell the Greatwyrm hid from my knowledge was cast, and the echos of a dozen worlds combined into one. The Greatwyrm knows not if the echo's died, the eggs were consumed, or if all became one. What he does know is after the spell he had enlarged, his attachment to the world had perfected, he had become sapient Zeal incarnate. This I tell all of you. This I will continue to research. In my following research, I will head to the Hazfen desert where the Burgeond has created a device to attach their bodies to Zeal. Sounds draconic in nature to me!
