Sliver Slipstream Theory

Often in life those with great experince and power take on those weaker then themselves as students. This is the core of the idea of the Sliver Slipstream Theory. Large quantites of slivers in one area seem to do two things, attract more slivers, and increase the growth of already present slivers. The exact range and magnitude of this law are unknown. What is known is that larger gaps in sliver quantites seem to cause faster growth in the smaller quantities of slivers. Gatherings of slivers also increase growth. Parties, rivals, and drawn out conflict seem to grow slivers, in allies and enemies alike. This is observed throughout history in many conflicts.   A prime example is Korvas the Kind who was said to have exceeded even twenty slivers. His followers, many of which has only a single slivers are noted to have rapidly grown to double digit slivers in less than a month of time near Korvas. This is a working theory on why Korvas was able to muster such a powerful force in such a short time.   Broadly speaking this also explains how many conflicts will escalate quickly in a matter of days. Where at the start of a war the fight is contained to a single structure or area, by the end of the war entire regions will be decimated by the same people. The reason, Sliver Slipsteam. Small motes of fire are traded for larger detonations of molten air. Single sword strikes turn into blinding barrages of heavy attacks.   A Sliver of Divinity is hard to aquire in the world of Potestatem. Study on how to gather slivers is one of the most funded pursuits on Potestatem. From the fruit of the Snaleshi Swamps too the Decoter asteroids of the Hazfen, slivers come in many physical and non physical forms.
