Soul Bunker

An odd organic structure was found in the Zurchonic hive mind. It was utilized to allow specific organic creatures to temporarily or permanently siphon or meld their bodies and minds with another biological form.

The three most common uses for this were to take broken bodies such as the elderly and injured of a race and convert their biomass into other more useful forms for the hive. Secondly, it would allow certain thralls to join into other infrastructures such as a Psychic Beacon temporarily and boost their abilities, work on the structure more closely, or simply to dispose of a useless thrall like the previous use.

Thirdly and most unsettlingly a Soul Bunker could be a part of a larger structure's ability and allow thralls to pass into an organic wall at one location and appear at another similar to reconstructive teleportion theory. This was often used to transport forms between hives and surprise attack invaders.
