The Conflict
Prelude
Within the Stalwold forest many viking clans lived along the fjord coasts. From there they launched quick single sailed and rowed vessels meant for overtaking larger trade ships. They lived a somewhat isolated life from the southern continent due to the water crossing between the two regions. When Thánatos "The Destroyer" appeared on the southern continent, many entire cultures picked up and ran to the Stalwold forest.
Deployment
The vikings already warlike nature immedieatly took advantage of this and began raiding the helpless refugees. Many of the running groups had few remaining standing armies. Thus they would use their people with Sliver of Divinity to fight the vikings back.
Slivers fighting mundane folk in masse is considered a deep taboo on Potestatem. So the vikings started utilizing their own slivered people, who were often much more powerful on raids against the refugees.
