The Arena
"Behold, my church!" -Blood God. A field of large structures that let witness the bloodiest combat of Potestatem. Whether you want to brawl with a friend, settle a dispute between adventuring parties, or fight an adult dragon, there is an arena for you. The Arena refers to a section of land north of the Lair of Gruesome Devastation populated by combat-focused sport structures. Ruled by the powerful Blood God, anything can be won or lost here. Blood must be spilled on the way to either outcome.
Purpose / Function
Created by the Cloister of Poison Tears here they let the arena witness the power of the dungeons. Far from the civilized main continent, many come to escape the moral rules and stricture of their homes. Monsters freely tear apart adventerers. Adventurers fight them and each other for glory and gold. A simple place. Fee's only come to those who watch on the sidelines, and those who lose.
Alterations
Growing quickly the building as grown upward many times but slowly grew outward as the games complicated. Larger monsters meant more dangers, high level magics were warded against. Soon it became a jail of sorts, just with a lot of windows.

History
Originally a single Colosseum-based colony of Thero's empire it has devolved ever since their emperor's death left them along on a far land. They have embraced the colosseums simply ideology, strength is power, to witness is entertainment.
Tourism
Hitch a ride on the northeast coast of Potestatems main content and jump across the Straight of Gruesome Devastation. Upon making landfall just follow the only roads north until you hit a large plain of stone circles. Welcome to The Arena region! Here people have set up to grow, sell, and consume food in the shadows of violence as entertainment. Brutal but fascinating just make sure not to cross anyone's path lest they challenge you to ritual combat in one of the many arenas. Some arena's or colosseums are free to enter. The famous ones will often charge a flat fee to enter and watch all day. Competing is free and encouraged! If you make it far enough you can earn an income and loot the loser's corpse! Ask around to see what arena features what types of combat. Monsters, men, environmental, mazes, and many more lay within the circling walls of each arena.
If you don't have much time, or a lot of money go to Blood God's Colosseum! It is a massibly tall Thero based structure. For a gold piece you can watch the greatest and most skilled or terrifying combat The Arena region has to offer!
