Devious Dile, Vol.1, The Dungeon of Doom!
Well met, new fan! I Devious Dile am the greatest investigator adventurer, IA for short, on Potestatem! The material plane has known none greater in intellect than I! If you have found this journal you have begun a long journey to hero hood! I have sworn an oath to never sacrilege the world's greatest treasures. You, on the other hand, may not have! So I leave these journals behind to guide you on your way through a few caves and dungeons I have found in the region. What region you may ask? Ydnac Lond that is! Put on your sturdy boots for off we go! I intended to leave this first journal here at the entrance to the great Mt.Ydnac Dungeon. It appears to be locked by some form of a four-part ritual spell. Through my vast knowledge of the arcane arts, I attained through a quick read at my local mages guild I have ascertained these four things. The ritual is four rituals! Each tied to a separate location, perhaps object! Someone didn’t want this dungeon opened! Now we need to learn of the past! My first clue lies to the north in the waterfalls. Something about that ritual column smells of the bloody waterfalls farther up the mountain. Off I go.
Devious Dile, Vol.2, The Bloody Waterfalls Well met long-term fan! I Devious Dile have located the Bloody Waterfalls! It seems a creature is filling them with blood! Hence the name. Not my blood! I scattered some hunted game in the cave and snuck past the large creature on my own. I am now hiding at the base of the waterfall where I hope the downdraft of air and water hides my blood scent. Above me sits a mysterious ritual. It has the look of glowing purple chains with a golden heart. That must be the center of the ritual! I am not sure how to break it but this cave seems polluted with blood. If I could stay longer I would clean it of all the corpses and rotten stench. Maybe it would be spiritually connected once more then! No Chwinga round here surely supports that. Now that I have observed I shall head east to the frozen caves where I saw odd glowing white walls...
Devious Dile, Vol.3, The Frozen Cave Well met ancient-fan! I Devious Dile have located the frozen caves. White walls of magic energy tower and dance at the entrance to this cold cavern. I shall weave between them and enter in. A dragon! A young white one! It seems it was trapped here by the odd walls. While I slid in easily its large body could never slide out! It seems hungry as it hasn’t left in awhile so I sit in this cold icy corner under a little sun and wait for it to stalk off further into the cave. I have noticed while I sit here that something is in the ice below me. Perhaps that's why the dragon sits on top of this pond so much. When I get the chance I’ll make for the southern bone caves to check for the third artifact.
Devious Dile Vol.4, The Bone Caves Well met my forever fan! I Devious Dile have located the bone caves! It seems a large snake curled up and died hereafter thrashing about and making this cave. Gross, but relatable. A very diseased warlock chased me in here and now I hide amid some old scholars' tents while he looks for me. He found a relic! Well, not a relic but an arcane item. He has given up on his search for me in favor of research on it. Time has passed and he has set up traps outside the room. I can only see some floating orbs that look dangerous but nothing the master acrobat Devious Dile can’t handle. I heard him carting some bones that could be trouble, but for now, I shall bide my time like I always do. The last arcane item to unlock the dungeon I wish to note the location of the must is in the western great blue caves. No one has found it yet but I shall!
Devious Dile, Vol.5.1, The Great Blue Caves Well met immortal fan! I Devious Dile have located the Great Blue Caves! Blue mushrooms that glow fill this cave to the brim. This as well as a huge skeleton! I was surprised by an odd purple creature and found myself once more hiding. I am still looking for the relic and can’t seem to find it…
Devious Dile Vol.5.2, Star Spawn Hulk Well met unending fan! I Devious Dile have ascertained the nature of the entity in the Great Blue Cave! It seems to be a Star Spawn Hulk. This creature of the far realm is the largest of the Star Spawn! It appears to be immune to psychic attacks of all kinds, and even reflects them! Otherwise, it is just a beefcake. It seems to have no ranged ability so I have found it easy to simply outride it and fire on it from range when necessary. It ignores me if I keep my studies to the edge of the cave. That skeleton seems to be the source though so I shall attempt to get closer, something is written on the floor around it.
Devious Dile Vol.5.3, The Destroyers Corpse Dear god. It’s the Destroyer himself. This skeleton is the corpse of the one who ended civilization one thousand years ago! The sentinels slew and contained it here! The floor has the long untouched remnants of a massive binding ritual on the floor. Some odd additions to do with control and transfer of soul are within the circle as well! If I can study this longer I may learn the fates of every Sentinel adventurer that saved the world one thousand years ago! I have added a dashing photo of myself to this volume should my attempt to raid the skeleton go foul. The Hulk found me. After tearing off my arm and leg it left me to die.
