Squib

Squibs are a degeneration of a pureblood line or an evolution of a muggle line. They don't have enough magic to harness active magic, but they do have enough passive magic to act as mediums and sense magic. They are often employed in the magical world as servants in order to expose them to magic and help them cultivate their magic so that their descendants can evolve into mages.
