Baron Nichol of Fieord

Baron Nichol of Fieord was one of the vassals to Duke Lawrence of Fieord, Lleiran noble in the late eighth and early ninth centuries AE. He was related to his liege by blood, being grandson to Lawrence's father, and ruled a small fief granted at the time to his father, second son to a lord.
Baron Nichol is most famous for his deeds during the War of Mocladian Demise. After his uncle was chosen to lead the right flank of the Lleiran army, he agreed to allow the young nobles to move ahead of the main column in search of glory. Baron Nichol was eager to show himself as well, so Duke Lawrence appointed his nephew to command them. However, it ended up in a disaster when most of the company was humiliatingly destroyed in the Battle of Tortone Forest.
