Mourning Bands
Mourning Bands are a Montian tradition used for mourning the dead. It involves wearing simple metallic bands on the arm and neck, either for a fixed period of time (usually three months, but this varies) or simply until the bereaved has found a way to cope with their loss. Sometimes the name of the departed is engraved on the inside of the bands, or simple symbols, or an epitaph of sorts.
