The multiverse

The collective term used for all known planes of existence. Broadly speaking, they consist of:

• Inner Planes, where most mortals live and die. These are the planes people usually think of when they refer to the land of the living, especially the Prime Material Plane.
• Elemental Planes, which represent the primary elemental forces of the universe
• Outer Planes are what people usually refer to when they discuss the afterlife. These planes are also where most gods call home.
• Transitive Planes exist "between" other planes of existence, usually serving primarily as passageways from one plane to another
• The Far Realms are the realms that lie outside of the known universe. They are homes to many eldritch horrors and aberrations, but almost nothing is known about them. It is said that even gazing upon them is enough to drive mortals to insanity.
