You top the rise of a rocky hill and confront a startling expanse. It’s as if the hills behind you form the shore of an endless ocean of sand. Among the dunes that rise and fall in great waves, some seemingly as tall as the hill upon which you stand, strange towers of wind-shaped stone make eerie islands in the sunbaked landscape.
An open land of sand and wind lies to the north-west of
Taretza. It begins near the
Elhate Badlands to the north and is then surrounded by the
Fubin River that marks both the western and southern end of the desert.
Ruins litter the sandy landscape anything from ancient towers to fallen buildings can be found almost anywhere. Ruined buildings is however not the only thing you can find beneath the sands. Many beasts utilise the softer earth to burrow across the desert like fish in water. Flying predators are also common in the area, due to their heightened mobility
