Session 68: Accumulation Report

General Summary

The session began with the party engaged in a battle against two mages, two Flesh Golems, and one Demonflesh Golem. To start, Omen ei' Taure knocked both mages unconcious and dragged one out of the room. Following up, Baradin Godchosen banished the Demonflesh Golem and Maro Rei 'Sky' finished off one of the Flesh Golems while Eldon Caufield summoned a Crown of Stars to fire at the remaining active golem, before Arten Veronica Lagurdo charged around the last one and attacked with a Blinding Smite and Omen used a lance to finish it off, leaving only the banished Demonflesh Golem.
As the Demonflesh Golem was returned, they all attacked it simultaneously and swiftly finished it off.
They then woke up one of the mages and interrogated them, learning that they were assistants of Elvalur Dorindale, who ordered them to research the creation of golems. But Elvalur and their disciple, Silver, who the party encountered last session, abandoned the project, and the mages wanted to continue the research and use it to overtake Elvalur's position.
The party then explored the hidden chambers of the facility, entering what they were told was a summoning chamber and investigated a strange, bell-shaped machine made of brass with a green crystal mounted at its top. Omen tried lifting it, by pulling the crystal but instead broke the crystal off the machine, causing it to stop. In the meantime, Maro helped Eleesa free Gideon Nilien and Elina, the girl that Gideon was looking for.
The party then modified the memories of the two mages, making them believe the golems went on a rampage but the mages managed stopped them, blacking out afterwards. The party then teleported with Baradin's Wish to the Rust Monsters' hideout, while Omen had to walk out on his own.
At the hideout, they discussed bringing Elina back to her father at first, then possibly visiting the Denivas manor and had Eldon Sending a message to Caym, the sick boy that was at the manor, asking how he was, to which he responded "Where are you?". Eldon then tried again, getting the answer: "I am fine". The party then took a short rest at the end of the session.
