Evie Magnis is the youngest daughter of Troy Magnis and the member of the Phantom Squad known as Banshee. She is a genius engineer and crafts her own combat drones and devices.
As the youngest daughter of a man obsessed with siring a son as his heir, Evie was able to remain largely unnoticed by her father with the help of her oldest sister, Gwen. She was an optimistic bookish girl who was fascinated by mathematics and robotics and all things engineering. She used the resources made available to her through her father's wealth to learn about all the latest technologies.
When her sister, Gwen, hatched a plot to spirit the sisters away from their father's grasp, Evie was the most reluctant because she was the least traumatized and she benefited from her father's position and wealth in her education. However, upon learning of her father's abuses against her sisters, she felt betrayed by him and would support her sisters in any way she could. She also understood that with her older sisters gone, the only one left for her father to turn his ire against would be herself. She joined her sisters in plotting revenge against their father and his empire.
When she was born, her left arm had to be surgically removed. In childhood, her father purchased for her a robotic prosthetic to replace her arm. The marvels of this device are what sparked her interest in mechanics and technology at a young age. Her father purchased periodic replacements as she grew up. When she reached adulthood, she contributed to the design of her current arm and even made some additional modifications herself.
