Government
The Republic of Aldesta rules here. Senator Molketh represents Kalstan and her interests. A small city council runs the day to day operations in Kalstan.
Defences
The city’s main defense is the openness of the surrounding desert. From atop the rock, lookouts can see approaching parties hundreds of miles out. The actual rock provides protection from rare desert storms as they’re always coming from the north. As for the city itself, a small outpost of Praetorian guards the settlement.
Industry & Trade
As the northernmost settlement in Aldesta, Kalstan holds the most transactions with other kingdoms and civilizations. Trades from as far as Alheim end up here and merchants at Kalstan take most of these supplies throughout Aldesta for further trade. Like other settlements in the area, Kalstan is rich with stone, gem, and glass supplies.
