Flower Knight

The Flower Knight was once a formidable soldier in the Darkriven militia. He was one of the few soldiers that were selected to be part of a cadre to protect the Shrouded Dynast with their lives. During his service, he fell in love with a glassworker's daughter and retired from his duty to the monarch. His beloved fell ill, however, and in his desperation to save her, he performed a dark ritual to appease Fendarra in the Creeping Reach. Fendarra rewarded his sacrament by promising to draw the affliction from his lover's body. She was transformed into an enormous monkey pod tree with fuchsia colored leaves. The Flower Knight made an oath to protect her while the surrounding landscape leeched the scourge from her tree form. He stood fast against the terrors of the Gloom for over a century before finally being reunited with is beloved.
