Hors

When Amras intervened to limit the power of the ancient orcs, whose strength had gone unchecked to the point where they threatened to usurp the seat of power that only gods can hold, the stripped power coalesced into the divine being, Hors. Hors was might incarnate, and lacked direction, cause, or clarity. The shock and confusion of instant god-consciousness threw Hors into a primal fury and he rampaged against the other gods. Desperate to bring the god-beast to heel, the gods conspired to create a being which could handle a raging diety. Melkyra was born unto the pantheon and her travails resulted in the first instance of music in Primea. Her divine lullaby soothed the thundering hooves of Hors, permamently delivering him into an eternal slumber. His dreams now manifest into gifts of raw strength that are bestowed upon unsuspecting mortals.

WORSHIPPERS

Any cultures that respect raw strength hold Hors in great reverence. Orcs in particular worship Hors vehemently in hopes that they might once reclaim their stolen ancestral gift of power. Contests of physical prowess are often held in efforts to appease Hors in hopes that he might gift them with a fraction of his power.   Other groups have venerated equine creatures as the children of Hors. Horses, Zebra, Donkeys, Unicorns, Pegasi, and Kelpie are all respected and held in high regard by Hors' faithful. Some believe centaurs to be ancestors of those who were present during Hors' divine rampage. Centaurs are almost exclusively devout to Hors.

SACRED SITES

The scattered cratered valleys across Primea are believed to have been formed by the hoofprints of the rampaging Hors. These mythical treads are vehemently fought over by cultures that wish to harness what power lingers in them. Those inhabited by wild horses are left undisturbed out of superstition and fear of incurring the wrath of a Hors stirred awake by such an act of blasphemy.

RESOURCES

Hors' adherents wield a supernatural level of strength that can often overcome most any obstacle beset upon them by means of pure brute force. They resolve their conflicts with the philosphy that might makes right. It is not unheard of for evotees of Hors to engage in physical conflicts that otherwise would not concern them, casting the battlefields into chaos as two-sided classes become a confusing free-for-all caused by Hors' forces merely testing the limits of their strength upon combatants from both sides.
