Khandrik

By chance, by ingenuity, or by divine invocation, a creature discovers that a sharp edge could more cleanly part that which stands in its way. In this eureka moment, the first blade is born unto Primea, and with it a god seizes the tool by which he will carve out his holy testament. Khandrik is the biting force of every blade. Whether wielded by conquerors or by mediators, so long as the instrument by which societies negotiate their interests, they will have Khandrik's blessing. Stirred by the role of patron assumed by Gylnaethi and Dirgenstadt over elves and dwarves respectively, Khandrik resolved to champion humanity's efforts to ruthlessly cut out their fair slice of Primea.

WORSHIPPERS

Primarily a human diety, Khandrik is directly responsible for the rise of several human domains when he gifted humanity with the four sacred blades. Any human that recognizes the sovereignty of these kingdoms inherently acknowledges Khandrik as their divine benefactor. The practice of maintaining a keen edge on your sword is often seen as a ceremonial ritual by Khandrik's devout. Honing a blade is tantamount to tithing or offering a prayer to Khandrik. Some factions have interpreted Khandrik's will to include keeping all things sharp, both figuratively and literally. The King's Swords, an elite military force, enlists only the most apt in their respective fields to the avail of the kingdom of Palure.

SACRED SITES

Battlefields, both active and ancient, are held in great reverence among Khandrik's most pious. Prayers are offered at these theaters of war in an effort to provide the worshippers' faction with the blessing of sharp blades in their ongoing skirmish or to manifest the battle prowess of the vanquishing force that cut down the opposition in venerable contest.   The demiplane by which Khandrik's rule is absolute is known as the Engarden. Witnesses recount an sprawling, endless field from which an incalculable number of swords prick the landscape. It is said that every blade ever forged or ever to be forged is a facsimile of a blade found in the Engarden. Woe be to those who finds their actions the antecedent to Khandrik's angels taking up these divine arms against them.

RESOURCES

Amid the vast arsenal of weapons that beget the quiddity of Khandrik, the most well known and revered are the four sacred blades upon which he endowed humanity.

Volitorus, the Sublime Subjugator - Bearing this blade grants the wielder with unrivaled flying capabilities. Brandishing this sword will also force any opposition into a state of genuflection.

Tathidus, the Zeal Scorer - The wielder of this sword will never be visited upon by death way of aging. The blade also cuts through all forms of deceit and illusion, granting the one who brandishes the sword the ability to know the truth.

Tenebrictus, the Dark Voice - Cutting the sun from the sky is a trivial undertaking for the wielder of this sword. Excising something or someone from all history requires equal effort.

Abstergus, the Accord Broker - The keeper of this blade will find themselves bestoyed with a power of authority over the other three sacred swords. It also grants the bearer the power of finding peace between contending factions. And finally, it allows the wielder to banish interlopers from other planes back whence they came.
