Talhearth

A haven for half-breeds from across Primea. Half-elves and Half-orcs alike seek to carve out a life for themselves here, safe from persecution from their full-blooded kin.

Founding

When humans began mingling with the estranged Elves of the Foxmask Forest in an effort to solve the mysterious fertility problems that plagued the forest, many Half-elves were the result. These Half-elves struggled to fit in with both their traditionalist Elven parents and their superstitious Human parents. A number of these Half-elves settled into the bay on the west side of Kantorga where the Hartram Run meets the sea. Within a few years, Talhearth became a place for Primea's shunned and oppressed to seek shelter from the harsh attitudes of their birthplace.

Recent Events

Despite the doubts cast on them by their homelands, Talhearth settlers have shown that half-breeds and outcasts do have a place in this world. The town welcomes those who no longer have a home through no fault of their own. However, for all the good done in Talhearth by way of the downtrodden, it still harbors secrets that may hurt its reputation if they were to slip out.

  • A week ago, someone was witnessed falling from the belfry of the Chapel of Melkyra. The village elders have deemed it a suicide, but witnesses claim that the victim's hands and feet were bound and two large sacks of silver ingots were tied around his neck. Who was this man? And what led to the mysterious circumstances surrounding his death?
  • Over the past few months, a low-hanging cloud has been seen floating above Talhearth. It generally blows in on otherwise cloudless days and remains for up to a week at a time before floating back out to seen. The elders have declared it a benign elemental guardian and advised all to avoid investigating the strange cloud.
  • Foggy nights are not uncommon in Talhearth. However, several reports of the sounds of distance drums can be heard on nights were the fog is peculiarly dense.
