Land Gate

The Land Gate defences have been improved. Ballista, Onager and Scorpio have been mounted on the strengthened walls. The Landgate garrison include a detachment of the elite Quodeth marinus. Work gangs can be seen toiling on defensive improvements during the day. Grisly reminders of the fate of marauders hang from the walls around the land gate. There is a bounty on both Gnoll and Beastman heads.
During the day the gates are usually open, with at least two Legionnaires and a dozen guards will be on duty during. At night the gates are closed, a legionnaire and half a dozen soldiers on the walls. Optio Fang, has over all command of the Land Gate detachment. Security is tight, rumours of spy's and the threat of raids means the guards will interview folks passing either way.
A notice of bounty's is posted inside the gate.
