General Summary

In the celestial realm of Primordia, where the cosmic threads weave intricate destinies, the Custodial Trials unfold, a sacred rite to identify those worthy of upholding the celestial balance. Alkaid Rasalas, a seasoned mentor, and Reia Magorian, his eager apprentice, step into the mystical trial arena. Simultaneously, Eriphise Amberdream, mentor to Elenna Hallowdrunner, enters the arena, setting the stage for an encounter that will shape their cosmic destinies.
As the two mentor-apprentice pairs meet within the trial arena, the air is thick with anticipation. The surroundings are cloaked in dark purple fog, crystalline trees piercing the mysterious haze. A campfire, a waypoint in this ethereal landscape, beckons them to explore. Eriphise, attuned to the whispers of nature, communicates with the alien plants, expressing peaceful intentions. Though the plants remain silent, a subtle connection is felt.
Eriphise, guided by her divine senses, detects ominous presences in the fog—three pings indicating the presence of undead entities. Meanwhile, small constructs called Homunculi lurk beyond the fire's glow. A strategic approach is devised: Elenna and Reia advance on the Homunculi, while Eriphise follows one of the undead pings. Alkaid, wise and perceptive, ascends a tree, bow in hand, aiming at the Homunculi.
Suddenly, a Flame Skull materializes, casting a fiery storm upon the team with a Fireball. The group retaliates, Alkaid employing a Planar arrow that pierces the skull's defenses. A tense battle unfolds, with the Skull seemingly vanquished. However, to their surprise, the Skull resurrects during their short rest, prompting a wearied but determined confrontation. The team adapts, takes flanking positions, and dismantles the flaming menace once more.
Undeterred, the group presses forward, encountering a massive, rotting plant blocking their path. Eriphise attempts to commune with it, seeking peaceful passage. The plant remains unmoved. Contemplating their next move, Elenna suggests exploring the eastern path, hinting at the promise of loot.
Reia's owl, Tomo, scouts ahead, revealing a campfire and a chest. Yet, danger lurks as Tomo detects figures hiding in the bushes. Swiftly, Alkaid takes the high ground, arrow drawn, while Reia hurls a firebolt at the hidden forms. Cultists emerge, including an Enchanter Wizard. Arrows fly, spells crackle, and the group dispatches their assailants. Alkaid's precise shots claim at least one spleen.
As the battle subsides, the weary group settles in for a long rest, leaving the mysterious chest for another day. The cosmic trials of Primordia have only just begun, and the destiny of these custodians unfolds in the ever-changing tapestry of the celestial realm.
