The Elemental Lords

The Elemental Lords are a living godlike extension of the elemental planes of existence. Tied directly to the fabric of the universe these elemental lords are nigh impossible to destroy. Yet the Great Dragon appeared to do just that.
The more likely reality is the Great Dragon dealt so much damage to each of the lords that for a time their consciousness fell into a Toper like state for ages. After the Fall of the Great Dragon the deep conscious of these infinitely old beings once more began to awaken.
If they were ever to return to their former physical state it would be the Death of the world as they make up the world itself. Yet even in their current state they can have a tremendous effect on the world.
Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Tsunamis and Hurricanes and Tornadoes are often blamed as signs that Elemental Lords are still indeed alive and every day becoming more active and powerful.
