Divine Beings

At the top of the heavenly pantheon are the GODS. They are all equal in status. The gods have created servants under their power. These beings can not be born or created by anyone who is not a god. These are ranked from highest to lowest, Empreyans, Solars, Planetars, Deva then Aasimar. Citrinous commands an army of constructs that she generally uses instead of using angelic beings. She still has angelic forces, but has the fewest of all the gods. Her forces range from Pentadrones, Quadrones, Tridrones, Duodrones and Monodrones.    Empreyans are the direct children of the gods, born of the merging of two or more gods. While lesser in power, they can have a varied and combined suite of talents that their godly parents granted them. These beings are known only through myth. No one in recorded history has ever interacted with one.   Solars are purely created servants meant to spread the word of god and protect the things they claim need protecting. These beings are not often seen by the world, and spend most of their time in hidden locations or invisible and serving behind the scenes. Each one generally serves a single god's purpose, and the gods can have several of these servants. These beings are said to be myth, but are believed to have been real in the past, though no longer.   Planetars are the children of the Empreyans. When given permission by the gods, two or more can merge to create a Planetar. These beings are mostly martial and serve all the gods generally and equally. There are only about 7 of these beings left on Prism. The most famous of these beings is Avacyn, who is guarding the Tomb of Heroes. Other known living Planetars are Akroma, Basandra, Iona, Linvala, Lyra, and Shalai. Scholars are currently trying to understand how these beings came to be, as there is no proof their parents ever existed.   Deva are the remains of a Planetar who has fallen in battle. Part of their soul returns to heaven to be reborn as the gods see fit, while another part forms a new being. This being still serves the god, but is seen most often around humanity. They are the eyes and ears of the gods and when they die they return with their new information to their former soul, merge and finish the rebirth process into a Solar. There are numerous of these beings walking Prism, and most of them spend their entire “lives” in mortal forms so they are unknown as Deva.   Aasimar are the children of Deva and mortals. They are not tied to the service of a god, though they often retain divine features based on the god who created their deva. Almost all Aasimar are religious and feel the power of the gods more keenly than regular mortals. It is said that all Aasimar, if they die while in the gods favour have their soul taken to heaven to become part of a new Solar. There is a large population of these beings on Prism. They are as numerous as any other race on Prism.
