Waikura Paakete

Once a mighty vessel of floating steel cruising across oceans and seas, now only a heap of rust remains beached on the worn rocky shore.
Many long years ago, in a time shrouded in the mists of a previous Age, a group of people found themselves sailing through the seas of their home world. A great wall of Rainbow hued light enveloped the ship, and by the time it dissipated they found themselves almost upon a sprayswept coastline of jagged black basalt rock.   Finding the ship irreversibly beached, and the keel, propeller, and machinery spaces wrecked, and bunkers leaking fuel oil onto the shore, the crew made plans to abandon the vessel. Stripping the ship of everything they could reasonably move, the crew settled across the basalt ridge opposite to the wreck, next to a large saltwater caldera. This settlement eventually became known as Teiakainga, and the inhabitants became known as the Teiaori.
"H--ZS -ea---r"
— Inscription on the ceremonial brass bell
Few things remain of the ship besides the rested carcass of the hull. The ship's brass bell resides in the nearby settlement of Teiakainga, its metallic surface marred by a thin patina of corrosion and the inscribed name of the ship it came from has faded into illegibility. Only a few letters are still legible enough to give hints to its origin: "H--ZS -ea---r".
