The Cliff of Rosan
A Place of Power
Upon an island far to the west of the High Plains lay a verdant forest. Perhaps the most notable feature of this island is the crystalline structures that jut from the massive, broken cliffside. Many refer to the island as the Cliff of Rosan, Rosan being the explorer who decided to descend from the edge of the High Plains. Through a pulley and rope-based lift system, he was able to explore the place without fear of being unable to return."A dreadful expedition it was. Some things are best observed from afar; however I suppose Rosan found that out the hard way"Rosan discovered not people, but strange sources of magic that twisted the mind of him and his expedition as they journeyed further towards the base of the cliffside. Common beasts seemed to observe them curiously from the massive trees of orange and red. After reaching the cliffs, Rosan was the only one that remained due to (according to his account) being slaughtered by their own kin and strange wisps of brutal magic that burst the humors from the head. Those that continue to venture to the island simply use it to harvest herbs for medicine. They dare not venture deeper knowing well that death awaits towards the crystalline cliffs.- Alodie Cartwright
Where the Creators Walk
Rosan, now known as Rosan the Mad, scribed several tomes on his discoveries upon the island. He suggested that the island itself was a throne to the makers. Furthermore, Rosan theorists that this island was once part of a greater throne than the creators convened upon during the time of Salt that would lead to the creation of life as he saw a series of shattered stone tablets all covered from top to bottom in some illegible script.Remove these ads.
