Drela
Drela was the first industrial district within Meryn, the capitol of Tronasyl. Established in 1470 it served as a research and testing area for new weapons. For the first time ever in Velodan history magic should have been combined with technoglogies. Army generals promised new dangerous weapons to win the Iron War. Scholars and wizards worked togeher on crucial exmperiments trying to abuse magical crystals or creating new weapons. For example the Coszyly, an explosiv prototype. Once activated, iron chains shot out of the big ball, which dug into the surrounding area. While detonating, the chains shot back and tore everything with them. Especially underground those new weapons were dangerous.
Desperated from the progress of the war the generals forced the scholars to use black magic. They even summoned lorys, old and bestial creatures, using forced laborers children.
In the night of the 10th May 1483 Flames blazed above the roofs of Drela. An inferno has started to destroy eveything in his path. Most of scholars and wizards got killed. Many of the laborers suffered from smoke poisoning. The entire district burned to the ground. And beneath it. Some say the fire started in one of the underground facalities laid to saboteur military´s progress. A convened commission determined that it was no accident. First some of the laborers were accused and interrogated. Then scholars and wizards. The investigation lasted months and afterwards it was found out that the fire could have been a conspiracy against Velodans military. Even an high ranked officer got arrested and under torture could not be forced to confess. Many people believed that is was an attack from kingdom Pastmont. Other thougt that the forced laborers set fire because of miserabel working conditions and killing of their children to be used as tributes.
After months, traces running into the void and angry generals the people of Meryn demanded an scapegoat. With concluded investigation, it was found that an elf was responsible starting the fire with blossoms of blood roses which can be very flameable. He was publicly executed on the 15th of August, 1483.

Government
The district was run by group of militarys and under supervision of generals. There were strict rules for the workers. For example that they were not allowed to leave the settlement.
Defences
Large walls shielded Drela from the rest of Meryn. At any time some one was patrolling and the entrance was highly guarded. Allegedly it was build like a fortress to protect the workers and prevent attacks. In reality they only should imprison the forced laborers who had to work there.
Infrastructure
There wee many tunnels underground because the military did not want the people of Meryn know what they were up to. Furthermore, there were many dungeons, research facalities and a small town within the district with own tavern, bakery and hospital.
