The Crowns Gentle

The Crowns Gentle is the provisional and ceremonial ruler of Vandaryen. Whenever the successory of a dead leader had been uncertain someone would be elected as the Crowns Gentle by the Council of lords.

Ruling the country provisional and oversee any fortunes.

History

After the War of two crowns and arrest of Kata I., a new ruler had to be chosen since her house, Molagul, was dismissed. Many different earls wanted to claim the throne and because no one wouldn´t provocate a second war, a "warden" had been elected who should lead Vandaryen ceremonial while looking for a successor.
For that Keyneth Creel had been assign as the Crowns Gentle.

Cultural Significance

Vandarysh

Vandarysh people have always been pleased by the idea of a ruler who is been elected. Unfortunately this still could not be applied for the kings and queens. However, they respect the rank holder like a real leader.

Troner

The Troner had been a bit confused but surprised from the idea that an elected ruler should lead the kingdom for a provisional time. Even if they accepted it they find it useless to consume time and ressources only for a short-term leader.

Notable Holders

Keyneth Creel

Creel was the first Crown Gentle. He succeded to negogiate a contract which prevented the annexation of Vandaryen by Tronasyl since they did not had a successor first.
Tronasyl wanted to make Vandaryen to vassal so they could have time to choose a ruler from their own kin. But the vandarysh people were not very happy about this decision which is why the Council of lords elected a Crown Gentle.

Leonardo Dewinter

Leonardo Dewinter is the current Crown Gentle. After the death of his brother who had been king, Dewinter could convince the Council of lords to elect him as the Gentle.

Status

The title is in effect as well as ceremonial.
