The rarest form of dementia

The pale skin was the rarest form of dementia only affecting old people. It was not treatable and high graded illness so that some people believed that it was a curse.

Causes

Characteristic for dementia was their creeping, almost imperceptible beginning. Initially, slight memory lapses and mood swings occur, and the ability to learn and react decreases. In addition there are first language difficulties. The patients use simpler words and shorter sentences, or they are stuck in the middle of a sentence and can not finish their thoughts. Local and temporal orientation disorders are noticeable. Those affected become weaker in drive and are increasingly closing in on something new.

Symptoms

The onset of dementia is characterized by short-term memory and memory disorders, as well as the accumulation of long-term memory content that has already been memorized so that sufferers increasingly lose the skills and abilities acquired during their lifetime. But dementia is more than a "simple" memory disorder. It affects the whole being of man: his perception, his behavior and his experience

Treatment

They were no treatment. Many physicians claimed to had found one but everytime it was a charade only to get money. Furthermore a special tea made from the canyla plant could temporaly contain the memory loss but the plant could easily make addicted. Rich people bought crystals to store memories to rewatch them. Other summoned demons.

Prognosis

Affected people often started to forgot small things or could memorize something new. The second stage would be lost of sensing time or not being able to execute easy tasks. It was very difficult to diagnose the illness.
Moreover there was a rare condition called the pale skin. The skin changed it color to white, infected people got blind and would act like braindead zombies.

Sequela

There existed a rare condition of dementia where the full body was affected. It was called the pale skin because the skincolor got white. Furthermore ill people got bllind and would act like braindead zombies, They completely lost their perception and ability to act. No one could say how this condition developed or was triggerd. Some people believed that is was a curse.
