Megahuman

A Megahuman is a type of human that, through genetics, has gained a Megability. They are essentially super-humans, long story short. I chose the term "mega" because I didn't want to suffer a copyright lawsuit.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Megahumans are typically humanoid in shape, although there are a comparative few who are amorphous. There are hundreds of variations of them, and thousands more combinations of their Megabilities. Typical Megahumans only have four appendages, but there are some with a number of tails or tendrils or a set of horns or antlers. Amorphous Megahumans are those that are gaseous or protoplasmic in nature. A couple of examples from external sources are Kagegiri for BNHA and Clayface from Detective Comics.

Genetics and Reproduction

As Megahumans are of the Homo sapiens genus and species, they are capable of reproducing with Homo sapiens sapiens. However, their "Mega-gene", located in the 23rd chromosome pair, is dominant over normal human genes. This makes Megahumans more commonplace than regular humans.

Growth Rate & Stages

Typical Megahumans grow at the same rate as humans, however there are some that cease aging at some point and others that age rapidly.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

The most widely-celebrated holiday is Creation Day, to commemorate the day that the meteorite disintegrated into the atmosphere and the creation of Megahumans. It is an international holiday observed by all.

History

In the year 1932, a spontaneous meteorite, allegedly registering a 10 on the Torino Scale, mysteriously disintegrated in the atmosphere, dispersing a fine dust over the entirety of Earth. 25 years later, the first Megahuman was born naturally. This led to a neo-renaissance of technology and civil rights.
