The Ordan Dominion

This country formed along the eastern coast of Canar one hundred years ago. It controls nearly all of the trade that enters and exits the continent. They wield their economic might against other nations to the west, the collapsing Bronze Empire and Palispar. Except in the case of the Oln Dynasty, Canar owes much of its wealth to the elbow grease of a few determined glassworkers and spice merchants from Orda, the capital of the Dominion. The Ordan Dominion has five major cities. These are Orda, Goatbrier, Poign, Dorin, and Everile.

Goatbrier

It started as an ignoble settlement of goat herders and rose to a position of prominence in a rather unlikely way, through the sale of goats. If one were to go to the city now, they would still see the trappings of its herding past, mixed with a haphazard array of architecture, mostly built by mages. The living in Goatbrier is cheap and so it attracts all sorts of folk looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of other cities.

Poign

The city holds a magnificent port. The shipyard is always busy with builders and customers alike. Life in Poign is about life on the open sea. Here a sailor will always feel welcome about town. The city's main export are its ships. Poign holds one of the finest establishments for shipbuilding in the south, Cassandra's Shipyard. If one needs a ship repaired, it's best done here. The rest of Poign is littered with merchants selling a few items here and there before they reach a much larger market in Orda.

Dorin

The city is a marked neutral territory, held in the Ordan Dominion but dominated by the Silveisean population in the area. Known for its many embassies, Dorin is essential to the peace and prosperity of the entire continent. Here wars are averted, peace talks are held, and economies gain their backbone through trade deals. Having Dorin in their clutches helps the Ordan Dominion, but they are unsure of how long the city will remain in their possession. The Silveiseans continue to migrate to the city and as their population grows stronger, the rulers of the Dominion grow ever suspicious of an uprising.

Everile

The holy city of Everile rests at the bottom of the Ordan Dominion. It is the holiest of cities to those of The Faith Empyreal. Here remains the only true temple to the Empyreans, a small site which holds every statue of their likeness in one place. It is a humble space but the region brings many pilgrims looking for enlightenment, absolution, or atonement. The economy of Everile is unique in that it's donation based.

Orda

The most important city in the entire dominion, Orda is a powerhouse of economic activity. The Ordan Glass Guild sells their products to countries far across the Aawen. It is possible to find glass in every configuration in Orda. They even build their buildings out of glass bricks here. The city also acts as the capital of the dominion with the ruler, the demarch, taking much of the control of their country from the safety of their manor.
