The Reign of Dawn

The Reign of Dawn is a religious order tied to the God Idris, the Goddess Athrune, and the Goddess Vrol. It is a polytheistic religion that believes that Athrune will return along with Vrol to usher in a new and perfect age. Adherents of the religion are known as starlings, named for the birds which can often be seen congregating in the thousands around their temples of worship, and also because the adherents watch the stars and other celestial bodies for signs from Athrune.
The chief deity of this religion is Athrune, though Vrol, and Idris play their own parts. It is believed that Athrune exists as three entities: The Green Mother Moon (the spirit of Athrune), Naur (the body of Athrune), and a distant, red, celestial body known as the Blood of the Goddess (the blood of Athrune). The starlings hold upon birth that the positions of each govern what type of individual that person will be and what trials they will face in their life.
