Vigilism

Vigilism is a religion founded upon a prophetic text known as the Book of the Black Year. The followers of vigilism are known as spectators and the organization that they belong to is known as The Audience. Spectators of the Audience believe that at some point the prophecy of Imon Sharill will come to pass and that it will herald the ending of all life on Prominence.
Vigilism is a well known religion on the continent of Rowem where there are many temples devoted to it. Followers of the religion need not go to a temple to worship, however, these structures exist to pass on the knowledge of Imon Sharill's teachings to the initiated and uninitiated alike. At the center of the mythos behind this religion are the bide stones which Sharill used to foretell the ending of the world. An offshoot of the Abidement, this organization has fewer claims to the stones and when they can they seek to gain access to the ancient artifacts.
Members of Vigilism often become diviners and learn how to dwell with bide stones to see into the near future. It is not rare to find a spectator as an advisor to a King or Queen because of this reason. This places Spectators in constant competition with Quris of the Abidement, as they too can be found in royal courts for the very same reason.
