Bronze Dragon

"They're like your favourite uncle who's seen the world, tells the best tales, and somehow always smells faintly of earth and smoke. Always with a knowing glint in their eye that suggests they know far more about the ways of the world than they're ever going to let on, they are."
— Dave

Built Rugged

Typically found in badlands and deep canyons and distinguished by their robust, muscular bodies, bronze dragons are covered in smooth, hard, bronzed scales that have a subtle metallic sheen that reflects sunlight. They have incredibly sturdy limbs, each one ending in claws perfect for scaling sheer stone walls, and their powerful tail and precise wings aid greatly in their navigation of the rugged terrain they call home.   Living in clans, these dragons share a strong bond with their kin, passing down knowledge and traditions through generations. This communal living fosters a deep understanding and respect for the balance of their ecosystem, ensuring that the geological integrity of their territory remains intact. They play a vital role in maintaining this balance, often preventing natural disasters such as landslides through their innate connection with the earth.

Born Beautiful

With a deep affinity for the land, they often engage in creating intricate sculptures and carvings on rocks and cliffs, leaving behind a legacy etched in stone. These artistic endeavors are not just expressions of creativity but also serve as markers of their territory and history, telling tales of their clan's lineage and the land's ancient secrets.   Their diet includes minerals skillfully mined from the earth, not only nourishing them but also aiding to maintain the health of their environment. Though it may be counter-intuitive, bronze dragons only ever remove what is no longer needed within the stone around them, often removing rock that would otherwise cause issues to the greater surroundings.   Bronze dragons maintain an air of neutrality, at times even going an entire generation without encountering a mortal person. Unless threatened, these dragons will not be hostile, and have no issue openly conversing with the strange visitors who encounter them.   Should one interrupt their hibernation, however, and a different story might be told.

Do not disturb the sleepy dragons, got it.   I love the thought of them doing art and passing down knowledge and ancestry via that.

They're grumpy when they don't have their sleeps. Need their sleeps to do their arts!

I love that they carve their history into stone. How amazing would it be to uncover ancient bronze dragon history that way, in a long forgotten cave somewhere?

I imagine it would be incredible. Until you find the dragon poop that is.
