Cobalt Dragon

"Look what I found!"
"Put that down."
"Why? It's mine!"
"It's not yours. It's the dragons."
"What dragon?"
"The one that blue scale came from."
— Two people on an adventure

Vibrant Chill

Their blue scales shine resplendant against the sky, their broad wings lifting them into the air in swift aerobatics as they glide along the air currents. Their claws sharpened against the iron filled walls of mountainsides and their jaws set with determination. Their eyes glowing with a fiercely icy gaze and their breath a blast of pure cold.   They keep to the air and the mountains, with precious few choosing to live where the mountains meet the sea. They devour their namesake and freeze their scales to enhance their bodies.   Their robust, muscular forms are both awe-inspiring and formidable, a testament to their unyielding nature, showcasing their embodiment of the strength and endurance of the mountains they call home.

Frozen Saturation

There are those who believe these dragons to be cursed, afflicted with a hex upon their lineage after erring in some mythical form. They believe the pure power running through the chilled veins of these creatures can only be born of magic, refusing to believe that perhaps the dragons themselves are magic and insisting that they were cursed by magic.   Neither would be accurate, as dragons were no more born magic than a sorceror was born a dragon, nor were they set upon by a hex. They were born as they are, the way they were always meant to be, and the same way they always will be. It is this same way that each mortal was born and each creature was born. The same way each mountain rose, each valley fell, and each ocean was filled.   There is no more magic in their existence than there is in anything else across the Eight Lands, but this does not lessen their power. If this knowledge does anything, it makes one wonder that if these creatures could possess this power, then what power might something else hold?

I give the chilly flying friend its scale back. Then offer it some ice cream and give it a boop on the snoot.   I also greatly enjoy your opening quotes, they have been awesome this WorldEmber.

Check out some of my summer camp articles, like the dangerous flying jackalope or dragon wasps. Or, for something more light-hearted, there is the whimsical language Gobbledygook and Jaden's interesting job as a guano polisher.

I'm very happy to hear you've been enjoying the quotes, and hopefully the dragons as well.

Definitely put the scale down. Do not anger the dragon.   I love the dragon. <3
