Cozana

"You know that's not how she works, you foolish man. She does not create love! You would be better off hoping for a djinni than to beg for Cozana to create love where it doesn't exist!"
— A friend to a fool

A Lifetime Adventure

In the quiet corners of the world, where love is whispered more than shouted, her presence is like the scent of a forgotten flower, blooming only in the soft hours before dawn. She is not love as poets might describe it, nor passion that burns bright and leaves ashes behind. She is Cozana, the goddess of affection, though affection is too small a word for what she truly embodies. Hers is the quiet warmth of a hand on your shoulder, the wordless understanding between friends, the sense that even in solitude, you are never truly alone.   Her temples are not made of stone and mortar, for she moves in the quiet places where words lose their shape and only feeling remains. Her sanctuaries are found in the smallest of places: a smile shared between strangers, a letter from an old friend, the soft purring of a cat curled in the lap of someone lost in thought.

An Eternal Endeavour

No statues bear her likeness, as her form shifts as easily as the wind. To some, she appears as a mother holding a child. To others, she is an old friend who sits by the fire and listens to your stories, even when you feel you have none left to tell. And to the truly lonely, she is the softest touch on a tear-stained cheek, though when you turn to look, there is no one there.   There are no rites to summon her, no offerings that guarantee her favor, though there are some who still try. Cozana is drawn to the spaces where love grows quietly, like wildflowers in untended fields. Her touch is soft, unnoticed by most, but once felt, impossible to forget. She does not ask for worship, but those who recognize her feel her presence in the everyday moments; the embrace of a loved one, the comfort of an old letter, the way the light falls just so on a face you cherish.   Cozana does not demand to be known, but she is always there, just out of sight, smiling softly as the world continues to turn, her unseen hand making sure the ties that bind us do not fray too easily. In her quiet watch, the world is softer, kinder, held together by the invisible threads of her affection.
