"OH FUCKING GODS, WHAT THE SHITTING HELLS WAS THAT?!"
"Really, you need to be a bit more believable if you want me to loo-WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!"— Two friends who were fishing and then started swearing in terror
Just...very very wide. Unreasonably wide.
Unique to the western island of
Horn, lagoon drakes are elusive and those who do encounter them are slow to ever forget.
Their elongated, sinuous body moves with an unerring grace that, along with their webbed toes and sleek, finned tail, affords them great movement within the water. The pale pink and white skin stretched across their body bears the resemblance of scales, though no scale has ever been shed by them, and somehow blends them into the water when submerged making them incredibly difficult to spot.
Their eyes are large and round, and their pupils shift between circular and slitted as called for, giving them both great vision and expression. Seemingly impossibly large, their wide mouth hides dozens of small, sharp teeth and easily distracts from the fringed gills that sit just behind their jaw along their neck.
Curiously deadly
Though not initially hostile, the lagoon drake will protect itself if provoked, and has a tendency to tear into the flesh of those that oppose it and drag them under the water, letting them slowly succumb to the waters they once thought to be safe. When not provoked, lagoon drakes are a curious species, and on the rare occasion where they do encounter people, they will often surprise them by swimming up to them and resting their head on their boat or popping their head half out of the water to observe them.
Those that are peaceful and kind to them might find themselves able to touch a lagoon drake, however this is not a common feat.
Yes, I need at least one of them please. x3 I love these swimming dragons ^^ Keep up the good work! <3
I'm sure you'll find one...eventually
