Forged By The Stars

When the stars fell from the heavens, there were no remains bar the soft weaves left deep in the earth. Hidden for millennia, these small remnants are still mostly unknown, however, they produce the most interesting of effects and possess eccentric qualities that have never been seen since the discovery of Ethaerium.
Through rigorous studies by the Magisterium, the effects have been chronicled almost random and any magicks cast on or around these weaves seem to not only have no effect on them, but it can also rebound and cause any number of effects to the caster.

Finding The Causality

Whilst the studies of the weaves remain mostly fruitless, some posit their existence being a direct correlation to the Weave of Magic that magic users manipulate to create their spells and magical items. It seems that when magic users have one of these weaves in their hands while casting, their power grows exponentially until sudden collapse, with random magicks spouting from their fingertips causing any number of problems, including the death of the caster and those in the immediate area.
These weaves hold the potential energy of the universe in its strands and as such are some of the most dangerous materials in existence. Its presence is kept under heavy guard by the Magisterium and only those allowed by the High Magistrate Council may even observe the weaves that are in the possession of the Magisterium. Though the Magisterium claims to hold all the remnants of the fallen stars in its vaults, there are said to be many laying deep within the earth waiting to be uncovered and taken up by a hero.
