Vinerider Dragon
"Jerald, are you seeing what I'm seeing?"
"A vaguely dragon shaped head surrounded by leaves and vines?"
"That's the one."
"Run?"
"Run."
A Tamed Wild
Despite what their name may suggestion, vinerider dragons are closer to drakes than they are to dragons. Their lack of wings makes maneuvering within the jungles of the Eight Lands much easier, and their powerful limbs allow them to climb and leap without strain. Often finding a home under the roots of a particularly huge tree or two, vineriders are gentle until provoked. They hunt across the jungle floor, using their uncanny hearing to find their prey and slowly slink up on them before ripping into them with their claws and teeth. Their tails balance their movements, and their padded feet keep them silent while hunting.A Wild to Tame
While vinerider dragons aren't an uncommon species, they keep to themselves. Oftentimes they will attempt to hide themselves from passersby, shielding themselves in the underbrush that coats the jungle floor. When spotted, reactions vary from curiousity to stampeding fear, but few have ever wanted to attack the dragon in the bushes. Unlike some of their cousins, vineriders aren't capable of speech and instead communicate through low rumbling sounds that vibrate through their chest and echo through the trees. Those who hear, or more accurately feel, this rumbling sound find it disconcerting and directionless, causing a sense of uneasiness within them. Some choose to attempt to hunt vineriders, but their fate is much the same as many other poachers; taken by the creatures they had hoped to take for themselves. One might find something belonging to them, if you search for long enough, but otherwise no tail or hide of those poachers are ever to be seen again. by Theiket (via MidJourney)
Good, you eat those nasty poachers, vineriders! I love them. The image of them slinking through the trees is very vivid in my brain.

I like to picture them scuttling across branches and vines. They're not even close to small, but they are very athletic.
