Watchking

The Original Bastion of Man

Formed By All

Created over millennia by every race and creed of the Eight Lands, Watchking stands tall in the natural harbour named the King's Narrow. Surrounded by stone cliffs, the docks are some of the most secure from inclement weather, including heavy storms. The area surrounding Watchking is a mixed bag of terrain, from stoney cliffs to deep forest. Many of the outlying populace take advantage of the heavy flora and fauna that propagate within the area to sustain themselves without much in the way of expenditure.

The Watchking Triangulates

Watchking is divided into eight sections known as triangulates, each of these triangulates surround the circular central area of Watchking where the Bastion Keep has remained since the inception of the city. The triangulates have no precise size, as they grow year by year, but they border on several hundred hectares per triangulate, making the size of Watchking quite substantial.   There are no real measures of what belongs in which triangulate, though many similar professions and trades tend to be nearby one another to provide easy service and locale for anyone looking for them. The dockyard, however, takes up the Third Triangulate, almost in its entirety, spilling across the edges of the Second and Fourth Triangulates, which hold the labourers and skilled tradesmen. The Fifth and Sixth Triangulates is entirely housing, and the First and Eighth Triangulates serve as the shopping districts.   The Seventh Triangulate is mostly the demesne of the houses of nobility, including the infamous Kanen house of Harrowsteel, who are known for their expensive and unbreakable blades. Part of the Seventh Triangulate holds the Watchking Magisterium hall, one of the grandest buildings in the Eight Lands.   The outer edges of the city of Watchking are made up of sprawling farms which grow anything from corn and wheat to apples and pumpkins.
