Wellin

"You can't be serious, can you? Don't you know what they can do if you bring them home?"

The Gift

Their fluffy bodies roll in the air, the currents of the winds brushing them lightly in circles. Their tiny eyes brighten as they float, suspended by nothing except the will of the winds.   Wellins are bred exclusively by the Magisterium as a way to earn funding for their private projects. They are light hearted, adorable, and extremely puffy. Being no larger than that of a Wisping ball, wellins are easy to take care of as they don't require feeding, and they only require watering once a day.   Their essence is tied to their owner when born, making them able to provide comfort when one may need it. While they can't speak, their soft chirps vibrate at a frequency much like the purr of a cat, stimulating your body into healing itself just a bit faster.

It Keeps Giving

Over the seasons, wellins can produce decorations on themselves, such as a sweater or falling snow in winter, and a hat in summer. However, these decorations are only produced if their owner wants them to be decorated. There are even some wellins who can chirp little seasonal tunes, though they can get on peoples nerves quite quickly.   Because of their created nature, wellins don't breed, and once their owner dies, they pass on with them. It is possible to disconnect a wellin from their owner, however this also makes them pass on as they cannot survive without an owner.   Some wizards will claim that they can get you a wellin on the cheap, but these black market wellins are made without an owner, creating insecure and very frightened little balls of fluff. Prospective wellin owners should know never to skimp on their wellin, it's worth the price.
