The Birth of Magic

The age of dragons was at its height. The world was full of order and all worked to please their dragon masters. The god who felt most unloved and forgotten decided to live among mortals, seeing that he could not achieve anything more as a god. The dragons got wind of this and decided to extract knowledge of divine powers out of the god. However the god died, and the dragons who’s blood was spilled on flew away in fear of what the other gods would do. No dragon exists on the prime material world because of this event.

Historical Basis

This is a myth however Dragon Born excises in small tribes in the mountains. Also dragon bones are found here and there and mainly destroyed by devote followers of Hesta/Hera and Pythia .

Variations & Mutation

Some stories say instead of banishment Pythia retracted there lives while other stories say a disease came and destroyed. Some scholars at @Delphi suggest the life power of Arcana who is now everywhere caused their death while his self faded into the new magical meta.
