Adamantine War Axes

Weapon (battleaxe), rare (requires attunement by a by someone proficient with axes.) These ornately etched adamantine twin weapons exude strange traces of dark magic. The axes have an innate magnetic pull towards each other and can be wielded alone or in unison, (if two-Weapon Fighting or dual wielding). If separated, no matter how far apart the axes are from each other and as long as they are in the same plane of existence, they lead the wielder to its matching set.   Prerequisites: This weapon can only be wielded by someone with a strength of 14 or above, and with proficiency in war/battle axes.
  • The weapon can only be destroyed by magic or special forges that can craft such a weapon to begin with.
  • These Adamantine War Axes deal "Critical Hit" damage whenever used to hit an object.
  • When used in combat these axes strike a "Critical Hit" on a roll of either a 19 or 20.
  • Adamantine armor that is struck with this weapon doesn't prevent critical damage.
  • It is considered a magic weapon for purposes of overcoming resistances.
  Adamantine:
  • This extremely rare and dense metal adds to the quality of a crafted weapon or suit of armor.
  • Weapons fashioned from adamantine have a natural ability to bypass hardness when sundering weapons or attacking objects.
  • Whenever an adamantine weapon and ammunition hits an object, it is a critical hit.
  • Adamantine is so costly that weapons and armor made from it are always of masterwork quality; the masterwork cost is included in the price of these items (3,120 gp each).
  • Only weapons, armor, and shields normally made of metal can be fashioned from adamantine.
