Qalathii

The term Qalathii refers to those people who are citizens of Qal'ath or are descendents of citizens. The Qalathii are not the "original Qalathii" - those forced out of the land at the nation's founding. Simply living and working in Qal'ath did not make one Qalathii, naturally. Other folk from various backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities found their place in the Realm.
Seeking Citizenship was no easy process either. As with many things in Bezélan, matters were over-complicated and also bent in favour of those with power or influence. The extra layer of priviledge only added to the societal divides within Qalathian culture with "true Qalathii" looking down their noses at "outsiders".
