Qelur is a vast and diverse land, split into the Four Corners, and the Kingdoms and Territories within. The scenery varies greatly for place to place, alternating between burning deserts and freezing tundra; towering mountains and lowland marshes; vast rainforests and thirsting grasslands.   Occupying the Four Corners are four peoples, all vying for control of the richly-resourced Midlands. Over the years, different clans have taken control of their corners, introducing new politics, new technologies, new tactics to their people. The North is full of tough men and spiky women, as primal and timeless as the cold that surrounds them. The South, a fiery people of rich culture and dark complexions. To the East, an advanced group in the ways of the harvest, growing rich with trade and service. Looking Westwards, a navy to contend with, sun-kissed islands offering exotic goods.   Qelur is far from harmonious, however. Since a time before time began, the land has been cursed with a thousand wars. Broken families scrape a living out of salted ground, ruined castles stand next to desecrated villages, and the law of the land goes unenforced or forgotten. Like the meeting of snow and magma, tensions flare at every turn. Dark forces are at work, and it is uncertain if the light even exists. How many more plots are necessary before stability -- and with it, peace -- return?
