Humans, vampires, werewolves, elves and sorcerers have been trying to share the world for as long as they can remember, but with limited success. Cultures and civilisations have come and gone, and yet wars still start at the drop of a hat (literally, in more occasions that it should be possible). The only thing the five races seem to have in common is their body shape, anatomy, and the ability to have children with each other. Everyone is born with the ability to bear children and to make someone else pregnant, and thus the concepts of "sex" and "gender" as tied to biological functions is a strange idea to them. But most cultures do have "cultural genders" - sets of norms of presentation and behaviour that their people fall into out of their own preference. Most of those are not limited to two either.
