Church of the Devine Lady

A place of worship for the goddess Fysi. Legend says when the great evil first struck, almost all of humanity was wiped out, and to give the human race the best chance of survival she combined both the souls of animals and humans into one. This act created the half-humans we have today and ultimately led to the defeat of the evil, and return of all peace. It is also said that she ultimately gave the last bit of her life to the 7 heroes of legend, giving them powerful weapons to dispel the evil. Such weapons have been lost to time though.

Purpose / Function

To honor lady Fysi who gave her life to bring peace to the world.

Entries

There is one large entryway at the front of the church.

Sensory & Appearance

Each church has 7 murals made of glass depicting the great deeds of the hero who founded their country. Lady Fysi's statue in the center of the room is made of pure emerald, supposedly those who touch it are cured of their sicknesses. The room is well lit, and in the night hundreds of candles keep the place bright. The place feels serene and calming, as though you are held in a warm hug and all your worries have disappeared.

Denizens

The priests and nuns of the church can almost always be found inside, but there is also always two guards stationed just outside the doors. Mostly for things such as emergency reports though as peace is abundant.

Contents & Furnishings

Around the room, there are wooden benches for people to sit on and pray. As well as a ledge on the pond surrounding Fysi's statue

Valuables

Everything in the building is a treasure. Though no man nor theif would dare steal or try to sell lady Fysi's statue due to the curse said to be brought upon them.

Alterations

Occasionally the buildings will be renovated as to stay stable and not collapse but ultimately the have not changed.

Architecture

White marble is used for the building to symbolize Fysi's pure thoughts. Inside the statue of lady Fysi is made out of pure emerald.

History

It is said before Amteria was split into the seven continents one church stood in the middle of the land to honor lady Fysi, but after her sacrifices, and the war ending people built identical churches on each continent to honor her.
