Auri High Elves

Structure

Auri enclaves are governed through meritocracy, with the most educated or enlightened elves leading an enclave. The titles from highest to lowest are: Lightholder, Master, Monk, Student.

Culture

The Auri believe that they are superior to all other races, even other high elves. They believe that in order to achieve transcendent enlightenment, they must isolate themselves from the rest of the world in order to contemplate and learn in a monastic environment. This leads to Auri often being xenophobic, isolationist, rigid in their thinking, and resistant to new ideas, however this is not actually sanctioned by their philosophy.

Public Agenda

The Auri public agenda is to learn transcendence by isolation and contemplation. They say that only Auri are actually able to achieve this, so logically Auri must be superior to all other races.
