Gregorio was cursed as a werewolf and was living in the secluded village of Dustshore. While he comes from a wealthy family he tries to keep to himself in order to minimize the harm he causes during the full moon.
When the salt rain fell, he transformed involuntarily in response to it and has been stuck in that form since. Not knowing how long it would last he sought out a circus that he knew was touring the area. His aunt had their schedule since she talked with the ring master, a halfling, in order to make plans with Gregorio to go see it.
